Dr. Caroline Bui, DC, CCSP, DACBSP

Dr. Bui was born and raised in Huntington Beach, California. She played soccer all of her life until multiple injuries and three knee operations forced her to stop pursuing athletics.

In her sophomore year of high school, she became a student athletic trainer with the football team. Since her formative years, every doctor that helped her get through her personal injuries sparked an interest in sports medicine, injury prevention, and rehabilitation. She graduated from California State University of Fullerton, where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Athletic Training. She furthered her studies at Southern California University of Health Sciences and earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic. Throughout graduate school, she served on the Executive Boards for the Student Body, attended multiple seminars nationwide,
volunteered at the Los Angeles Dream Center, interned SCUHS, a few other health clinics as well as CSULA’s Student Health Center. She even had the opportunity to travel to South America (Cochabamba, Bolivia) to participate in a life-changing mission trip to serve the under privileged population to adjust and care for over 100 patients per day. Dr. Bui plans to continue doing these trips in the future in other countries to spread her love of Chiropractic. In her free time, she loves to snowboard, ski, cycle, camp, paddleboard, meditate, scuba dive and travel. She is constantly on the move and wants you to also live your life completely fulfilled and out of pain too!

Dr. Bui has been practicing since 2013, and has additionally obtained the postgraduate designation of Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician® (CCSP®) in 2014 by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians™ (ACBSP™). The CCSP® certification requires the doctor to attend an additional 120 hour postgraduate program. This instruction is specific to physical fitness and the evaluation and treatment of injuries encountered in sports. Following the completion of these hours, the doctor must then take and successfully pass a comprehensive written examination.

This training will aid the doctor in the prevention and treatment of athletic injuries by enhancing their diagnostic skills and patient care. The CCSP® certification exists to provide a uniform standard of education that assures teams and athletes that the doctor has met a minimum level of competency in Chiropractic Sports Medicine. Dr. Bui joins over 5500 others internationally who hold this designation. In 2016 – 2018, she additionally added 550 hours to specialize and earn her Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians designation and is a complete expert in her area of focus. She is currently now obtaining her second Diplomate to become a Functional Medicine Practitioner (DACBN) to expand her ability to help her patients on the next level.
Both the CCSP and DACBSP serve to make Dr. Bui an expert in the prevention and treatment of athletic injuries by enhancing her diagnostic skills and patient care. The DACBSP accreditation exists to provide a uniform standard of education that assures teams and athletes that the doctor has met the highest level of competency in Chiropractic Sports Medicine. This post-doctoral distinction is achieved by less than 411 Chiropractic doctors nationally.
